Located on the beautiful Tāwharanui Peninsula, we are an hour north of Auckland, a 5 minute drive to Matakana, a 10 minute drive to Omaha, and one hour 15 minutes from Auckland Airport.
Our self-catering studio for 2 people, settled in a private natural amphitheatre, provides a tranquil break from busy life as well as a great launch pad for those wanting to be active and to explore the region.
Light and airy, with sliding doors that lead you directly onto a sun-drenched patio and into the orchard, our studio occupies part of an outbuilding originally built for farming machinery and storage. We have transformed the space into an the open plan apartment, beautifully furnished with a high spec ensuite bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen.
With a backdrop of fully mature native forest, there are 5 hectares to wander around, including an area of 4,000m2 landscaped native garden, wetland, a meadow and lily covered ponds.
Enjoy the multitude of native birds flitting about and, for star gazers, stunning night skies and the milky way.
The studio is situated within minutes of the white sandy beach at Omaha, the safe swimming beach of Buckleton, the spectacular Tāwharanui Regional Park for fun surfing and native bush walks, boutique vineyards, sculpture trails, and the vibrant markets of Matakana and its artisan shops.
