About Us

The lure of the Tawharanui Peninsula proved too strong and we took the huge decision to return to New Zealand in 2023 after having been in the UK for 27 years.
This property was a bit of a gamble as we never actually saw it in person – only on-line. Some friends thought we were mad whilst others were excited. Our wish list had been to have property with potential for regeneration, with some native bush already in place, peace and quiet and a great location for access to the beaches and, of course, Tawharanui Regional Park. This property over-delivered – it is magical and we are completely captivated by it.
We have opened up the land by removing stock fences but retain 5 paddocks for sheep grazing. We scoped out a significant regeneration project with 6,000 plants now in place and thriving. We have plans to regenerate the wetland area and continue to manage any range of invasive weeds! Yes, a lot of hard work is required but also immense reward.
Our studio apartment is positioned away from the main house and is nicely nestled into the orchard with views down to the pond and wetland.
Come and explore. We would be delighted to share it with you.
